Appointments
Q: What appointments
are available on Saturday morning?
A: We only offer pre booked
appointments on a Saturday morning,
alternating between Gayton Road Health
Centre and Carole Brown Health Centre.
Q: How far ahead can I book an
appointment?
A: You can book an appointment up to 4 weeks
ahead to see a Doctor. For a nurses appointment
you can book up to 3 months ahead.
Q: Why can't I see my own doctor?
A: You can now book an
appointment up to 4 weeks ahead, so it is
now easier to see the doctor of your choice.
You can also book a telephone appointment,
where your doctor will call you back.
Q: What do I do if I
need a doctor to visit me at home?
A: Please call our main
number 08444 77 33 77 between 08:15 and
11:00 on the morning you wish to be seen,
and ask for a home visit.

Q: Who do I ring if
I need a doctor when the surgery is closed?
A: When the surgery is
closed, you will need to call the Out Of
Hours Service on 01603 488 488, or call NHS
Direct on 0845 4647.
Q: What services do
you charge for?
A: We charge for the
following services:
- Certificates and Forms
- Medical Reports - to Solicitors,
Employers, Social Services etc.
- Insurance Proposal
- Vaccinations
- Copies of Records
- Other...

Q: Can I have my prescription sent to a chemist?
A: Yes. There is a
form you need to fill out, please ask at
reception for the form.
Q: What does the
review date on my prescription mean? Do I
need to see my doctor?
A: No. You don't need to do
anything, this information is for the
doctor.
Q: How do I get a
referral for a physiotherapist?
A: A referral to a
physiotherapist can only be done by your
doctor. Please speak to your doctor to
arrange this.
